Affinity Funerals in Alexandra are looking for a Funeral Service all Rounder to come and join our friendly team.

A unique opportunity has become available within our small, family-owned funeral home.

We are looking for a long-term team member to serve our local community in picturesque Central Otago.

As we care for families around the entire region, the successful applicant could be located in Alexandra, Roxburgh, Cromwell, Clyde, Wanaka or Queenstown or other towns in the area.

To fit within our team, you will need to be well presented, physically fit, empathetic, well organised with a positive attitude towards technology.

Ideally you will have worked within the funeral industry, but the right candidate will be given full training from our experienced team.

Excellent communication skills, time management and computer literacy are essential aspects of this role.

We are a 24/7 operation so the successful candidate will need to be able to fit within an existing roster system that includes after hours and weekend work.

A professional attitude and a genuine commitment to provide a meaningful service experience to bereaved families are all key attributes for the successful candidate.

Terms of employment i.e. weekly commitment, hours and location are flexible and will be discussed/negotiated.

Other essential skills/requirements:

• Competent in handling and processing personal information with a high level of confidentiality
• Able to deal professionally and respectfully with a wide range of people
• Confident in your ability to think on your feet and use initiative under pressure
• New Zealand residency or a valid NZ Work Visa and a full, clean NZ driver’s license
